Our courses are given in one of two formats:
Online Streaming Video Format
We have our courses available on our website so that you do not need to waste computer space downloading videos. This also allows you to access the videos virtually anywhere with an internet connection. If you have a computer or laptop with an internet connection, you will be able to view the course. This also gives the versatility of starting a course one place, and finishing it in another by pausing and continuing.
MP3 Audio Format
For most of our video courses, you will have the option to download the MP3 audio version of the course (Being able to get credit for these courses will vary from state to state, so make sure you can earn credit from audio only courses for your local bar). Because MP3 audio files have been the standard format, any computer or MP3 player (IPods, IPads, Blackberrys, smartphones, ect.) will be able to play them. You can even upload the files into ITunes or Windows Media Player and burn them to CDs.
Whether you are watching a course or listening to the CLE course, there will be verification code words in the course itself. There is one in the MP3 courses, and two in the Video courses. While you are watching or listening, the lecturer will momentarily pause. If you are watching the video, the screen will go black and the code will appear on the screen. A voice will let you know what the verification word is, and it will also appear on the screen For MP3 courses, an indication bell will sound, and a distinctly different voice will announce the verification code.
Once you have your verification codes, there will be a, “Get Credits” button (Available on the video player page right below the video itself or available for MP3’s after clicking MP3 next to the course you listened to). Clicking that button will give you a required form to fill out to submit the verification codes and rate the course. Once it is complete you will be e-mailed your certification of completion and it will be added to “Certificates” in your top toolbar.
