The following tools are made available to you to make your CLE’s a lot less painful than a live lecture. Mastering these controls helps to take real advantage of online CLE. They are all located on the right hand side underneath the video screen. We will use the picture above as an example. Let’s take a look.
Basic function bar- Right underneath the video box (The blue box in the picture that has “video course” below the lawline.com logo) where your video will be playing will be your basic function bar. It will be in gray. On the left hand side of that bar will have the Play/Pause button which you may hit to briefly pause or play the course. To the right of that will be “elapsed time”. In our picture above, it will be 00:00 as the video has not yet started to play. To the right of that is the timeline slide bar. You may click on the bar from left to right to progress or rewind a course in progress. On the right hand side of the timeline bar will be the total time of that section.
To the right of the total time of the section, will be you course volume button. By clicking that button, which looks like a speaker, you can mute and un-mute the course. The vertical lines to the right of the speaker represent the level of audio coming from the video. To increase or decrease the volume, Click on one of those vertical lines and drag to the left to decrease the volume and right to increase the volume.
To the right of the speaker functions, you will see the Box button which arrows are pointing outward. Once you click this, the video will be in fullscreen mode. This will make the video a lot larger, encompassing your entire monitor. To exit fullscreen mode, the press escape key.
