Does Lawline Report My CLE Credits To New York?

No, Lawline does not report your CLE credits to New York. Although New York attorneys are not required to report their credits themselves each year, they are required to keep a record of their completions and to certify their compliance on their attorney registration form, which is mailed to them.  Certificates of attendance must be kept for four years but do not have to be sent to the CLE board unless requested. 

For every course that you complete with Lawline, you will receive a certificate of completion. For New York, your certificate(s) of completion will contain the following: 

• Course title
• Time and date of completion
• Credit amount
• Credit type
• Course format
• State in which credit was earned
• Space for bar number and attorney signature
• Lawline.com information
