In order to provide attorneys with as many opportunities as possible to complete their Live CLE requirements, some Webcast courses in the catalog are listed as pending approval. If a course is listed as pending approval it means that our team is awaiting confirmation from the state’s accrediting body regarding the approval of the course for CLE credit. We expect that the course will be approved for the credit amount and type listed on the course information page, but we cannot guarantee it. Attorneys can still take the course at their own discretion.
In the course catalog, Webcast courses are listed with an orange circle next to the states that are still pending approval. In the sample below, the course ‘What Every Lawyer Should Know About U.S. Immigration Law (Update)’ is listed as pending for Virginia.
This information can also be found on the course selection screen under 'Credits.'
You will also receive a pop-up notification when entering the Live Webcast letting you know of this information.
It is common that a course pending approval will not be approved until after the webcast has taken place. Once an official decision notice arrives from the state, we will notify attorneys who have completed the course as soon as possible via email and will re-issue any certificates of completion to reflect the updated state reporting numbers. However, it is recommended that attorneys do not take webcasts that are pending approval close to their CLE deadline, as we cannot guarantee that a course will be approved in time.
