Newly Admitted attorneys in NY must take a certain number of Ethics, Skills, Professional Practice, and Law Practice Management CLE as part of their "transitional" requirement. All of the courses on Lawline fall into one of these credit types, and the subject matter is appropriate for Newly Admitted attorneys. However, each of these credit types has its own format restriction, and thus, the way in which you complete the course could impact whether or not it will count towards the transitional credit requirement.
The NY transitional CLE credits can be completed in the following ways:
Ethics & Professionalism:
- Live Traditional Classroom
- Live Webcast
- Fully interactive video conference approved by the NY CLE Board for use by newly admitted attorneys
Skills:
- Live Traditional Classroom
- Fully interactive video conference approved by the NY CLE Board for use by newly admitted attorneys
Professional Practice CLE and/or Law Practice Management:
- On Demand video courses
- CLE Classes in a Live Traditional Classroom
- Fully interactive video conference approved by the NY CLE Board for use by newly admitted attorneys
