Newly Admitted Attorneys in West Virginia can partially complete their requirement with Lawline.
Newly Admitted Attorneys who were admitted on or after July 1st, 2018 must complete the Live In-Person Bridge the Gap Program within 24 months of their admission. This Program is offered exclusively by the West Virginia State Bar and is available to be complete at the WV State Bar Annual Meeting and one other to be announced date/location every year. CLE credit is available for completion of this mandatory Program.

In addition, Attorneys admitted within the first year of the two-year compliance period (ex: July 1st, 2018 to June 30th, 2019) are required to complete 12 credits of CLE courses including 3 in legal ethics, office management, substance abuse, and/or elimination of bias in the legal profession. These courses may be completed through a combination of On Demand and Live Webcast courses.
Attorneys admitted in the second year of the two-year compliance period (ex. July 1st, 2019 to June 30th, 2020) are exempt from the 12 credits requirement during the reporting period they are admitted but must still complete the WV Bridge the Gap Program.
